HI

Darren here from CanaryAdvisor.com.

A PROBLEM FIXED

It’s estimated that as many as 90% of pet canaries have mites.

If you’re interested in protecting your canary from mites---who isn’t?--you’ll be happy to know that I’ve just recruited someone who can answer your questions about mites and mite treatment.

The mite treatment I use is SCATT and is a lot better and safer on your bird than some of the other products around.

The person I’ve been sending people to for SCATT info has completely dropped the ball and has not even been answering emails. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! So...I found a NEW supplier who is very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly.

SCATT has always worked for me and my birds. I treat them with SCATT twice per year whether I see symptoms or not. That helps to keep them mite free and healthy.

Right NOW is a good time to treat your bird for mites... BEFORE the annual molt starts.

Here is an article on how to treat for air sac mites using SCATT. ARTICLE

This article and site is geared toward the beautiful Lady Gouldian Finch but applies to canaries as well(Did you know that the canary IS a finch?). For canaries one full drop of SCATT will put mites on the run.

SCATT is also effective for use against scaly leg and face mites and blood sucking lice.

That’s it for today. Until next time...

Keep your canary S-I-N-G-I-N-G! :-)
