My canary puffs up

Is my canary sick if he puffs sometimes like at night while he is sleeping or when he tired during the day? He gets active when I come and play some songs he chirps. Plus he's new right now.

Home Canary in normal conditions sing nearly all year round, except during molting (August). Best singing happens in the spring, from February to March.
Canary belongs to the same group of singing birds, whose song is composed of so-called knee. The more the song various tribes, the more diverse the song, the higher valued bird. The best birds sing by 14 to 15 different tribes. Good birds are considered in their repertoire 10-12 knees.
