Treatment For Canary Bird Arthritus

Natural Herbal Remedies For Canary Illnesses Should Always Be An Option
My canary had swollen feet (often a sign of gout) and my avian vet told me it was a type of arthritis.
He prescribed a type of tea that he makes (for all birds) which I dilute with water and feed every day to my bird. Works like a charm - no more foot problems. She's been on it for years now.
It contains Rooibos tea base (a South African product), devil's claw, olive leaf extract and Fijian noni juice (Morinda citrifolia) - it's a pain killer, tumour suppressant, immune-boosting, and an anti-aging and anti-inflammatory product called "Herbaboost".
Look at www.animalzone.co.za for more details.
The anti-biotic Baytril is really a last resort and a VERY strong antibiotic. It will do more harm than good unless post-treatment probiotics are given to restore the bird's crop to normal.

Thanks Shelly. I'm all for natural treatments whenever possible.
I visited animalzone.co.za and didn't see Herbaboost there but they do have a couple of other products that sound interesting.
